A6 Logistics Park Celebrates Topping Out
In honour of reaching the highest point of the building and completing the most challenging works construction-wise and technology-wise, A6 Logistics Park is celebrating topping out.
Given the restrictions imposed in the country, this time topping out was more symbolic, with placing the wreath to the roof of the building and acknowledging the work of each construction worker individually.
The building of the new logistics park in Riga at 462 Maskavas St., started in July 2020. there will be a unified logistics and warehouse park build with almost 32 000 square meters of new warehouse premises. After the construction works are completed, the total space of all the buildings will exceed 50 000 square meters, placing the new A6 Logistics Park among the biggest ones within the territory of Riga.
In the course of construction, Pillar Capital, the developer, attracted about 20 subcontractors, while in construction and other works there were about 180 people engaged. General contractor of the project is Pillar Contractor, while the design development was made by Pillar Architekten.
“Topping out has always been an important milestone for the construction workers, when they can really take step back and look at what has been done already. We are satisfied with the works and the quality, which is about to be appreciated by the new tenants as well. The benefits of the location of A6 Logistics Park and its high standards of construction solutions have already been appreciated by approximately 15 companies that are in the process of negotiations about the rent of the premises,” says Edgars Miļūns, Chairman of the Board of Pillar Capital.
It is planned to complete the construction works at this logistics park by 30 August 2021, and total investments are estimated to be almost 20 million euros. The new buildings are aiming to receive BREEAM certificate that shall confirm their high quality, energy efficiency and compliance with the world standard.
